PCTP has access to high quality research platforms with unique technology in the country. Pando Technology Pole constitutes the main research platform, where the projects of PCTP clients are developed.
This area makes use of the human senses as the main tool to gather information about the sensory characteristics of products and how formulation and processing variables affect those characteristics. These tools are also used to understand how consumers perceive products and make their purchase decisions.
The area has unique capabilities in the country to provide services to industry that enables informed decisions during product development and commercialization, across different categories, including food, cosmetics and pharmaceutical products.
The services provided by the area include consumer studies, training of assessor panels, new product development, shelf life estimation, as well as tailor-made courses.
The joint work with the Food and Nutrition Area of Instituto Polo Tecnológico de Pando provides the food productive sector a comprehensive offer of services.
