PCTP has access to high quality research platforms with unique technology in the country. Pando Technology Pole constitutes the main research platform, where the projects of PCTP clients are developed.
The Food and Nutrition area has the capacity for product formulation, definition of production processes and parameters, and their control and evaluation. The area focuses on the premises of the client, adding the infrastructure available on the laboratory and including specific testing and trials on an as-needed basis.
This research platform works for diverse industries in Uruguay. Food and Nutrition has been entrusted with several tasks for the meat industry, such as: nutrition labeling of products, study of the maturing conditions of cattle and sheep carcasses in chamber, and storage life of vacuum-packed fresh and frozen meat.
