We are Uruguay’s first science and technology park, dedicated to bridging the needs and requirements of the business sector with the research and development opportunities of the National Innovation System, primarily through the Instituto Polo Tecnológico de Pando.

Our mission is to promote, regulate, and coordinate the establishment of private and public organizations engaged in technology-based productive activities and the provision of scientific and technological services.

What do we do?

The Science Park provides companies with the opportunity to develop their research and innovation projects alongside a team of top-tier professionals.

Ongoing support and direct engagement facilitate the testing and refinement of projects with agility, while strengthening the connection between academia and industry.

Additionally, the park offers a wide range of services to companies, including intellectual and industrial property management, proof of concept, market research, strategic partner searches, support in securing funding, training courses and workshops, knowledge commercialization, business opportunity assessments, and technology intelligence studies.

Quality Policy

The Pando Science and Technology Park is committed to fostering mutually beneficial relationships with its customers by implementing best practices and quality assurance policies. These efforts drive the continuous improvement of our processes and services while ensuring compliance with the ISO 9001 Quality Standard, customer expectations, and legal requirements.

We conduct our activities by promoting efficient organizational models designed to meet the needs of our customers, employees, suppliers, and other stakeholders.

History

The Pando Science and Technology Park (PCTP), established under Article 251 of Law 18.362 in 2008, is a public entity governed by private law. It was created to serve as a bridge between the business sector, committed to fostering innovation in Uruguay, and the scientific sector, which develops products and processes to enhance competitiveness in both national and international markets.

A science and technology park is an organization managed by specialized professionals whose primary objective is to enhance the prosperity of its community by promoting a culture of innovation and boosting the competitiveness of knowledge-generating companies and institutions located within or associated with the park, as stated by the International Association of Science Parks.

The Pando Science and Technology Park is a proud member of the International Association of Science Parks and Areas of Innovation (IASP).
